Can you quickly turn off the webyep male-e action and check the link button to see if its working correctly is it doesn’t then I am guessing something isn’t set up somewhere but lest start with ruling out webyep first

Its a little difficult to see whats going on here if you are 100% sure you have set up male-e correctly within freeway and you have disabled webyep/mals-e action so its not interfering with the Mals-e actions then all I can think of is its not set up at http://www.mals-e.com .
Have you made sure the account is set up correctly so you have all the correct information within freeway?
I cant think what else it can be unless the mals servers are down but thats unlikely.

It looks like Mals cant find the malsettings.cfg file - is it in the correct place?
I think that someone had a similar problem in that their server didn’t recognise the .cfg file ending and wasn’t dealing with it correctly

And this
“As it turns out my original hosting plan was a low-level plan on a shared server, the ISP had security set to really restrict outside calls to the server. Once I upgraded my hosting plan to a server with a dedicated IP address - it worked just fine. Yay!”

And for GD
"There is a problem with the package that ??? is using with goDaddy in the sense that it will not serve cfg files. This means Mal’s will not be able to find the necessary file when it looks for it, instead receiving a 404 error (file not found).
If you are planning to host a store using Mals then please make sure that your provider will serve cfg files first."

I suspect that the easiest way to test your server for this is to point your browser at where you know the malsettings.cfg actually is. I have one at http://www.deltadesign.co/odds/malsettings.cfg
Then you should see something like
bgcolor_color=#FFFFFF
cart_width=700
cart_align=Center
font=Verdana
font_size=2
bground=
text_color=#000000
link_color=#0000FF
vlink_color=#800080
alink_color=#FF0000
table_color1=#C0C0C0
table_color2=#808080
table_text1_color=#000000
table_text2_color=#FFFFFF
