Hi Julie,
What exactly are you trying to achieve?
For example;
T-shirt available in 6 colors and 4 sizes
All the shirts are one price ($25) but the XXL is a bit more ($30).
In this example I would add the base product to the Buy Form Setup (the t-shirt at $25), add the colors as a standard menu/ list item comment (see below), and finally add the sizes with the Multi Price Select List Action which will change the price depending on the size selected.
If you can let me know I should be able to help further. The Mals Actions have been developed to be as open ended as possible so you can stack then in various ways to get the result you need. This flexibility does, however, mean that more complex forms can take a bit of working out.
Here are a few things to remember;
- Any given buy form can only contain one Multi Price Select list. Think about what changes the price in the form (is it the color, the size or something else) and use the Multi Price Select List Action for that part of the purchase.
- Other elements that don’t change the price (such as color or finish maybe) can be added to the product as a note. To do this name the element ‘product1’ (without the quotes) and the text from the menu will be appended to the item in the Mals cart.
- If the t-shirts change price depending on the size and color then you’d need to combine your menus into a single Multi Price Select List Action. Usually, however, you can find other ways or representing the item.
Thanks,
Tim.

Good morning,
I have a technical Mals question (not a design one - dont worry - LOL)
I am trying to do the mult product dropdown with 2 color choices.
I pit the multi price select on both dropdowns (style and color)
I have added the mal’s buy text link.
here is my question:
on the action window for that it says product name / price? what would you put if its a multi selection?
I have searched through the tuts on freeway actions - but unsure how to set that up add to cart link/
am I missing something or set it up wrong?
Also, I am getting a link error??
thank you
Julie
