manual FW 7

I downloaded the freeway pro 7 trial version to find out if this helps me in making my website responsive. The Extended Reference for Freeway 7 (only 8 pages) on the softeners site is just to summary to learn the “box model”. Can anyone provide me with official long version manual of Freeway pro 7 ?

Look at softpress’ site and tap Support> manuals.
FW7 is just like 6 but with the small extended manual.

what is the difference between the “Guide” and the “Reference”.
The latter seems to be belonging to version 7 what about the “guide” is it 6 or 7 ? Very confusing ALREADY that in the document not the version is mentioned !! I hope that in one of these guides the mistery of the box model is explained step by step.

Still don’t understand the box model even not in version7 trial.

I understand that :

1.) you have to work from right to left in the media types
2.) you have to double click in the created background (area becomes white) and than put in items.

BUT how to position these items (x, y, size) that you can put them on the exact spot you want. I tried it with a style (using indent space before) but it does not work in such a way that you can move the item in any position you want. By the we you can only see the resulting preview in other modes nothing happens when you change the position.

The nice thing about FWPro when not using box model is that WYSIWYG. I am really still lost in this box model and I am not stupid at all but it is really not strait forward.

The manual also does not give any clue bout the box model.

It’s exactly the same hurdle I had to take when I had to learn Illustrator. I mastered Photoshop, InDesign … but could get my head around the whole working-with-coördinates-thing in Illustrator. I expected the answer of my troubles somewhere on the horizon, whilst all this time it was at my feed.

Long story short: it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Same goes for inline

Perhaps this set of 5 screencasts can helpt you on your way …
