The connection between a master and its children depends to a great degree on the children remaining unchanged copies of the master. When you introduce changes to the children, they can easily become detached from their master, either entirely or partially. There has been a lot of work in this area in recent versions of Freeway, to make the connection more robust. Certainly you could expect that if you edit the content of a master item, the Use Master Content would become unchecked, right?
