Media Width Overlay

The page widths in the Responsive Templates Pack 2 have been changed at each break point to match the required width. For instance in Retro’d the Default page width is 960, but in the Tablet view the page width has been changed to 780, and so on.

This makes the layout WYSIWYG even in Page view, and the Media Width Overlay is not visible.

But when I create a new file, 960 wide, each break point page is 960 wide, and the Media Width Overlay is visible—BUT confusingly, the layout does not shift to the media width: for instance a centered page in iPhone view centered about 960.

Does it not makes sense to do that the Templates do and adjust the page widths?

If you mean should you adjust the page widths in a non Templated document to keep things looking nice when working in FW - I probably would but the more experienced among us dont really care much about the look in FW as testing is done ‘in Browser’.

When adding breakpoints via Menubar > Edit > Media Types … you still have to actually assign the specific widths for each of them via the Inspector > Tab 1 (General page settings) > Measurements.
