Methods For Using Freeway With Joomla

You must put your template in the “Template” folder of Joomla 2.5 … Then you must click on “Update” and “Discover”. When you create pages with Freeway Pro you must point to the folder “Template” of Joomla…I hope this will help you

Must be exported directly into the “Templates” folder of Joomla. It is not necessary to zip… Dont forget to change the name of the file in the inspector palette “index.html” in “index.php” !

You are not stupid it is natural to want to understand. In Freeway Pro when you create new document this one must point to the folder “Templates” of Joomla. The “Freeway site folder” must be in the folder “Templates” …
Have you seen the “Freeway sample file” from Paul Dunning? It is normaly in the ZIP file of this action …

Thank you…

Ok, yes I have it open… but the templates folder of joomla is on line… so after creating and saving or save as template - I move both site site folder and the FW doc to the on line joomla folder template?
or

Here is the problem. I advise you to develop offline. On your Mac. After finalizing the website put your works online (All the Joomla files).

For that install MAMP on your Mac:
http://www.mamp.info/en/mamp/index.html

After that you could install Joomla on your Mac…

Download MAMP OR MAMP PRO 2.1.2

Just move the site folder (“image” folder + “index.php”) in “templates” not the Freeway doc “yoursite.freeway”

ok - so if I can’t develop off line - I then move the image folder (not the site folder) and the index.php page…

I have mamp on my mac but unsure how to install joomla on it…

also - if I read correctly at some point (not in this thread) If going from my mac - I should do a full install of joomla on there with the template? or can I leave joomla installed on the server / domain

I really want to learn all of this… but having a time getting my arms around it…
