I am starting a new design based on the “minimalistik” template am I am seeing some unpredictable results with HTML item widths. When you follow the “portfolio” or “contact” links, the banner width becomes wider and ruins the look of the page, but on all other pages it is as set in the freeway file. This is a bit frustrating!
If it is meant to be this way, how can I stop it?

Select the item that’s giving you trouble, and check in the Inspector’s General Item Settings, “Dimensions”. It looks to me to be set as a variable width. In the Dimensions box, the 3 numbers on the left are of concern here. Make sure the Middle box is set to the variable you want. The upper and lower boxes will tell the browser to resize this item to always be x pixels from the left and right side, respectively.
Sorry, I was supposed to reply to this earlier. I think there is a
buglet in the template that causes this sporadic behavior. The problem
is it’s a difficult one to track down. I would recommend not using
that particular template until we have done so.
