Hi All,
I have found this forum very useful whilst I learn Freeway. I have come across a problem that I cannot find when searching the old posts.
Basically when I install a new font using fontbook it doesn’t appear in the freeway font list when making text a graphic rather than HTML.
I have restarted freeway but this has made no difference.
Any ideas?
Cheers

When installing the Font are you installing it in:
HD>Library>Fonts
or
HD>Users>Username>Library>Fonts
The latter only makes it available to that user, the former for everybody.
The other possibility is that if it is just a particular Font that you are having trouble with then that Font could be corrupt. FW can be quite sensitive to dodgy fonts.

Installing with fontbook so it appears to go in my local library. It didn’t make a difference when I copied the file into the library for all users.
The fonts are from dafont.com and I have tried a handful so I wouldn’t of thought it was a corrupt file.
Thanks

Does the file show up in Fontbooks list - if so what result do you get when you select it and File>Validate Font
And you are trying to use it in a graphic box not HTML aren’t you.

Validation is fine, tried that for the first time when trying to figure out this problem.
Yeah, definitely selecting gif and getting all my other many fonts that came on the mac, just not the new ones I have installed.
I keep the mac up to date and repair permissions before major OS updates etc so I am at a loss to what is happening. I suppose a good test is if someone could kindly download a font from dafont.com , install with fontbook and see if it appears in freeway.

You can see any font problems listed under the Edit/ Fonts menu option.

Tim.

Well I did exactly that and had no problem - what specific font is not working for you?

That particular font gave me a “Serious Problems were found Error” - do not use. message.

Strange. I think I will give up and stick with the many fonts available. A client is after a different/funky font so I was looking outside of the standard list.
Thanks for all your help Derek and Tim!
