MODx has been mentioned a few times around here but I wanted to throw
it out there again for those of you looking for a very nice, free and
powerful MySQL-based CMS. No, it can’t (as far as I know) be
integrated into FW but don’t let that dissuade you, it’s worth putting
on the CMS short-list if you’re not opposed to dealing with code.
I’m in the process of building 2 sites with it and so far it seems to
be well-conceived and very nicely executed with a strong community and
great support. Certainly more designer-friendly than some of the usual
suspects and a much better option to hacking up Wordpress to function
as a pseudo CMS.
