Mojomotor

MojoMotor seems to be a new CMS/Publishing Tool from Ellis Labs - the guys behind Expression Engine. Wonder if it will play nice with FW.

I agree this looks like a big step up from WebYep. I’ll have to watch the keynote to see it in action.

Sounds like MiniCMS to me.

Looks like they are plugging the gap because the license fee for EE2 is now quite high ~ upgrading to EE later. It does look interesting.

Motor, Engine, get it?

This looks to have potential to fill the gap, and could possibly integrate with Freeway.

MojoMotor pages are standard HTML pages, so any design can be integrated and imported into the system.

The tag system looks similar to EE as do other elements.

Does this mean that I’m going to write actions for it? Well, I’m not even sure it’s possible yet. But once this thing is available, I’ll take a look at it. In fact, if you see it’s available and/or any of you try it out, pop me a note and let’s discuss it. I’d like to know what you think.

I agree, the pricing for EE2 is high, especially when it results in buying into a beta program that they’re going to split off later once EE 2.1 is available. I only bought into it now because the upgradable components from EE1 to EE2, including MSM and what not, were free but I have a feeling they won’t be doing that when 2.1 lands.

According to the recent EE conference 2.1 should be very soon.
