Moving stacked/grouped items…

Okay, there has to be a trick (keyboard /click combo) I’m missing.

I’ve stacked graphics to make a rollover button. How do you properly grab them so that you can move them about with the pointer?

This is a limitation of grouped objects. “Sneak up” on any edge of the
group of images with your mouse cursor, watching the cursor itself
very closely. When it turns into a hollow-head pointer (but still has
a tail) then you can click and drag to move the group. The problem is
that the area that you can click on is only one pixel wide or tall
(depending on which edge your clicking). It’s very fiddly, but
possible. Another way to go is to drag a selection rectangle around
one corner or side of the group, then use the arrow keys to nudge it
around.

Hi,
You can also select the individual items from site panel if you have the “show items” option selected.
You can also “Click and drag” and select items next to each other on the layer order in the site panel.
Also if the stacked items are grouped, Just select the enclosing object in the site panel - this is often the easiest way to go! I use it all the time to select a group within a group that may be partially hidden by another object.
Hope that helps.
