Multiple Wow Slider Carousels?

Have any of you FWP users tried implementing multiple Wow Slider carousels into a single website? Not necessarily the same page, although I’m curious about that too, but the same site.

If you’re a Wow Slider user, you probably know that WOW Slider creates two folders that need to go in the root directory of your website. I’m pretty sure you can change the name, but they’re typically called “data1” and “engine1”.

If you create several Wow Slider carousels do you need separate folders for each carousel and what do you typically do in terms of naming conventions?

Any help and/or advice is greatly appreciated.

I don’t work with WOW Slider much myself, but several of my Backdraft customers have needed to run multiple carousels on the same website. I believe that if you dive into the export settings you can adjust the slider ID, which will increment the number that is appended onto the data and engine folders, and allow you to run multiple sliders.

Yes, Caleb is correct. At the bottom of the ‘Publish’ pane there is an option to set Slider ID. By default it is set to 1 which is the suffix given to the folder. Change this and the folder names change as well.

However I haven’t seen the need to copy all the files to the root folder. I set up my sites with folders for each page/section so I can get URLs that look like www.website.com/membership/join/ and the slider data only needs to go in the folder relating to the specific page.

All the best

Perhaps this will help as well?
