# My Action Disappeared!

I downloaded a couple of actions this morning and when I went to install them I find that all of my actions are gone except the ones that came with FreeWay Pro.

What would cause this?

Here’s where I’m looking: 'Show package contents" on FW 5.5 file. Then Contents\>SharedSupport\>Actions.

All that shows are Fast and Standard.

Is this because I uploaded to the latest 5.5.2 yesterday? Did FW really overwrite all my actions–even the ones I bought???

Have a look for your actions in: Your Computer \> Library \> Application Support \> Freeway 5 \> Actions

You had me excited there for a minute! But I have nothing but a blank folder there–zero content. Is this supposed to be the new home for actions with 5.5?

Not you main HD, but go to your user \> library \> app support \> freeway \> actions

Hi Doty,  
There are three places that you can store actions (certainly since  
version 4 [1]) that the application will happily load and run the files;

1. /Users/(your short name)/Library/Application Support/Freeway 5/  
Actions/
2. /Library/Application Support/Freeway 5/Actions/
3. /Applications/Freeway 5.5 Pro/Freeway 5.5 Pro.app/Contents/  
SharedSupport/Actions/

All three will run actions but you should consider option 3 as your  
very last resort as Freeway considers this area it’s own and will (as  
I suspect you have found out) happily overwrite these files if you  
upgrade the application.  
Option 1 installs the Actions for you alone and option 2 installs them  
for all users on your machine.

folder in the same folder as the application itself.
