New Website... in dare I say it, Rapidweaver!

Joe Workman pops up 40 times on the homepage

The important thing for me is after all the time and effort spent learning Freeway, what advantage would it be to learn another program.

Marcel, I only counted 15. Are you sure that 150 number is accurate?

I dont think that actual number is important here - what is important is whether the site was built by Justin or Joe Workman.

D

I agree.

The reason I asked was I emailed Joe Workman about this issue, but I didn’t get specific about the number of copyrights. Someone on his staff responded and couldn’t understand why I had a problem with this.

I was getting ready to send them a link to Justin’s website, and an email stating that 150 occurences is certainly excessive, when I checked the number and it was far less than 150. Still not good, but not the extreme example I was hoping to share.

Per Textmate, there are 98 occurrences of the word “workman” in the index.html file:

Granted, most of them seem to be due to the sandboxed nature of RapidWeaver - as they are embedded throughout the code in CSS classes. Check out this one:

com_joeworkman_stacks_foundation_paragraph_stack

The code is appalling - terribly unreadable and messy. Granted, this is really of no importance if you (or your successor) will always have access to a working copy of RapidWeaver.

Thanks Caleb. As you know, I’m not even a coder, which is why I’m researching other rapid development, CMS enabled frameworks.

At this point, I’m leaning towards either Genesis and Visual Composer or Genesis and Dynamik, the latter which will help me to learn code. Do you have any thoughts on any of these?

Typing too fast again. What I meant to say was:

The code seemed messy to me too, which is why I’m researching other rapid development frameworks, especially those that are CMS enabled.

Sorry guys my mistake not 150 - there is another 42 references to Joe Workman in the CSS file though.

This sounds like a problem stemming from a large family, where everything had to be clearly identified, else it would be quickly confescated by another sibling.

I’d love to see how much of his personal stuff Joe marks with his name. LOL

Justin, just an FYI that you need to fix this typo:

“Portfolio” spelling.

Hi Guys, I do support for Joe. There is a way to strip out all of the HTML comments (Joe Workman references). Sign up for the free version of Cloudflare

Hope that helps.
Yes, Joe does have the new RW 6, but as of right now, there is not a Stacks plugin available that runs on it. There will be by the time RW 6 is ready to be released though, so do not worry about that.
