Newbie Question: Embedding HTML in a Table

Hello All,
Sorry for what probably is a newbie question. I searched and couldn’t find the answer in this forum.
I’d like to embed HTML content in a table. Specifically, an https:// reference to a graphic file contained on another server. I thought I had followed the instructions in the help file, but freeway interprets what I typed in as just text, and doesn’t act on the HTML code. What am I doing wrong?
I’d like to add custom html to my site, but need to specifically control where the html goes, so I don’t want to use the markup editor. I thought that tables would be an excellent option.
What am I doing wrong? thanks so much!

To add HTML code to your Freeway Pro layout, use Markup items.

Put your cursor into your table cell, then from the Insert menu choose
Markup Item… then paste your HTML code into the resulting HTML
Markup window. Press OK when you’re done. You will see a tiny gray box
with the symbol on it where your cursor is. That’s the Markup
item. When you preview your page the Markup item will be rendered from
the code you implanted in it.

Later, if you want to change your code, carefully select the Markup
item in Freeway and right-click on it and choose Modify from the
contextual menu or choose Edit >Modify from the main menu.
