No preview - no publish

Just spent 3 hours editing site for client and now I can’t preview my site!

All pages show up in Page view. Only Homepage will show up in Preview and in Preview in Browser.
I’ve resampled all the Resources and Force Republished the Master and yet all I see in Preview, Upload, Browser is a blank white screen.

HELP

Well, not sure if this is your problem, but you have to preview your pages not the masters to see them all.

Previewint the masters seems to only preview the first master and not the subsequent ones even if you choose them.

Did you Publish Everything by holding Control and going doen the Edit menu?

Thanks for the quick response. I had hoped that your suggestion about Publishing Everything would do the trick since I forgot to do that.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work.
I guess I’m going to have to rebuild the site from scratch.
Ouch!
All the html pages in the upload folder have zero K so it’s not publishing at all?

Try quitting and re-starting Freeway and try and publish again (Delete the items in the upload folder - or creating and publishing to a new upload folder)

Finally, Try opening the backup file Freeway created on the last save - see if that works OK?

Took your advice David but no go. Backup file, Publish Everything, Upload to New Folder.
All html pages 0 K.

Strange. I can see every page when in the Page Tab but nothing in preview.

Time to take a break. Do other stuff and remake it tonight.

At least I can SEE what I’m doing for reference.

Thanks for all ideas!

As David suggests create a new site folder to publish into.

File>Document Setup>Document - and select a new folder - not just an emptied out one.

Dont forget that a restart might help as well

Thanks for all your suggestions. I’ve tried them all to no avail. Gotta run out to another meeting. I’ll check back with you all later.
When I get back, I’ll try one of my other sites just to see if the problem is broader than this one file. I hope not.

Yet another suggestion - Create a new FW document.

Copy the pages from the old document and paste in to the new - you can copy complete pages by selecting the page in the site inspector (including Masters which you would do first so that any pages based on that Master are properly referenced.)

Try a couple of pages first to see if it allows you to preview.

If you still aren’t getting a preview I think I would be deleting the FW prefs file.

Another thing that might be worth looking for.

I don’t suppose that you might have inadvertently applied an action like PHP Make Markup to these pages.

Have you opened the output HTML files in something like BBedit to see what is actually in there?

The html has 0 K, therefore completely empty - no code.

I think I have a corrupted Master. will try again tomorrow. Good night all.

Joe Billings at Softpress is analyzing my problem. But it the meantime, it seems that my Master3 somehow got corrupted and that caused the problem. I made a new master and copy/pasted the pages from 3 to 4 and deleted Master3.

All is well now.

I will report here if softpress figures out what went wrong.

Anyway, happy ending.

Have a good weekend all.
