nudging

I’m trying to move and/or nudge some rollovers on a master page but they won’t move. They are not locked. Dragging or nudging by using the arrow keys only resizes their frames without actually moving the items. Help.

Have you tried moving them using the positional coordinates in the inspector pallete.
There you can adjust the position and size pixel by pixel.
I have found it more precise and neater to work this way.

Yeah, that works, but it’s a slow and tedious way to move a bunch of items. I should be able to just grab these things and drag them across the page in one shot.

OK - try this.

With your grouped items unselected (important) on the page hover the mouse over the edge of the group until the cursor changes to have a hollow centre (white) - click and drag the group.

Sniff. Nope.

I hope they, uh, improve this aspect of Freeway.

Are the rollovers groups of items? I find sometimes, normally when in a bit of a hurry, that when I select the group that in fact I have only selected one of the items within the group rather than the group itself, in which case the item will not budge.

I just check it in the item viewer panel on the left and make sure I’ve selected the group and then do as Dave mentioned but press down the shift key and grab the edge and the group will be selected. Its maybe sounds a bit much but once your in the way of it it takes no time at all. Becomes part of the work stream.
