Objects and their outlines and dimensioning

I’m using Intaglio 3.4.2a and I’m confused about how the outlines of an object relate to dimensioning. For example, If I draw a rectangle and use geometry window to the set the size to 39" x 65", the actual dimension drawn comes out to be bigger than that due to line thickness. Is there a way I can set the program so that line thickness will always be interior to my set size so that the size of the object is what I want it to be?

This is a problem because as I duplicate an object and align them next to each other, the error is multiplied and I need the dimensions to be exact!

Thanks, John

You have to subtract one outline width per height&width or convert path-> stroke to fill and adjust geometry size afterwards - snapping will work then.

Frank-

Thanks for the help but I don’t follow.

What’s “convert path-> stroke to fill…” I also don’t understand what you mean by “snapping…”
