Optimize for Mobile Help?

Hi, I was contact end by an SEO salesperson who used the scare tactic of Google’s April 21 date by which all sites have to have a mobile platform. He said my site wasn’t compliant. I’m using version 7. I thought creating iPhone and iPad views was sufficient? Is it not? What else do I need to do???

Thanks!!

It will effect searches done on mobile. If you main market is desktop thing won’t change that much…

“Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.”

And if you want to see how mobile friendly Google thinks your site is go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/?utm_source=wmc-blog and enter its URL
