OT opening files

Good evening -

I have a backed up file on a cd of my main website.

I made it in January. I have had the same v of FW since then and previous (barring any updates I am forgetting)

it was on my past G4 . now I have a MacBook Pro (yeah irs returns! LOL)

I went to open it after I tx it to my desk top from my CD and get this error: can not open w this v of freeway

what??? anyone experience this? any solutions?

Thank you so much

Sometimes when you drag something to the Desktop, it is not actually
copied, but a reference to it is placed on the desktop. Freeway won’t
be able to open a file on a CD because it needs write access to that
file, and you can’t write to a CD. So create new folder on the
desktop, open that folder, and copy the file on the CD into that
folder. That always seems to actually copy the stuff from wherever to
that folder, not put a reference to that file in the folder. The
other possibility is the file you actually copied has its permissions
messed up. i.e. no write access. You could run the Disk utility and do
the Repair Permissions option on your hard drive.
