Our new website

Hi, new to freeway but what a breath of fresh air! Were a creative agency and dont do coding, but we have found that it was time to re do our own site and move away from flash. Freeway was prefect, from concept to completion in 2 days and it still looks like our orignal design!

Im sure there are things that can be done better and now with FW5 we can take it further, with things like fades etc…

Im interested to see what people think?

Many thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,

I really like this site, so much that when I saw it in the gallery I
forwarded it to the boss to get it on our home page (keep refreshing
the Softpress home page 'til it shows up).

It’s clean, it’s bright, it’s simple, it’s consistent. All that a
website should be!

Good job.

Thanks Joe, very much appreciated! As a designer it just nice to use a website program that doesnt involve reading 800 page books! and just get on with making the communication effective.

I agree with all of the above. It’s amazing what can be done with Freeway. Well done.

I’m not being a killjoy but some of your links don’t seem to be working. Have been viewing through Safari and the T&C’s on the ‘talk4’ page and some of the ‘Case Study’ links on the ‘work4’ page also don’t seem to be working. It may be a case of ‘work in progress’ and you are aware of this, if so sorry. I know what its like to do a site, check and re check to see if all is working, just to be told that a link does not work. Thats life

Once again, great looking site.

Lee

Thanks lee, yep T&C’s are being updated and at the moment only the case studies that you can rollover are active case studies but more will be added soon.

This site (among others of course) is exactly what’s needed for the Freeway gallery. It not only shows good design but when a professional agency picks up your software, it gives other agencies confidence to check it out. I work in advertising and design too and know there usually isn’t time to experiment with different applications. You learn from other’s experience (as the wise man said). So changing applications can be a major undertaking. Freeway gave me the confidence (possibly misplaced) to undertake my first online shop - almost set to go live. I’ll post a link for comments when it’s done.

So, kudos to K4!

Hi Steve,
I really like the overall look of the site. It looks both fresh and inviting and
I wanted to see more. And that can only be good.
I had a couple of odd moments with ‘broken’ links on the work page (as
previously mentioned) and a little confusion trying to figure out what was
wrong with your location map (it’s upside down with North at the bottom!). The
only other thing I would suggest is to look at your content with an eye on
optimising it for search engines. For example I always like to add the site
name in the page title so that search results that list these pages in
isolation give an indication of where they came from. That’s just me though!
All in all great work. Well done.
Regards,
Tim.

Hi Tim, thanks for the feedback, appreciated. Can you tell me where the broken links in the work page are, as ive tested it on a number of browsers and cant seem to see any.

With regards to SEO in the page titles, how would you recomend doing what you said?

many thanks

Hi Steve,
On the work4 page (http://www.k4creative.com/Work1.html) the following entries don’t appear to be linked;

  • Credit Suisse* JO Hambro* Penrose Financial* Ashridge Business School* Cass Business School* Aviva* Westway Development Trust* Capital VIP* Mercedes-Benz* Booz Allen Hamilton
In regard to the SEO side of things make sure that the site name i in the page title along with any key words ideally in a phrase that sums up the page content. So for example the page for Close But No Cigar (http://www.k4creative.com/k4creativelondoo.html) might include keywords such as London 2012, pitch, presentation, design, etc.Regards,Tim.

Thanks tim, thats right those entries are not linked as we didnt want to give everything away on the website as we dont want to give people an excuse to not seeing us. But maybe it needs to be more apparent to which case studies are live?

As for the SEO, thats great ill amend that to all the page titles, appreciate the advice.
