Panic!

I’m trying to make a new website (find it VERY daunting) but managed to publish and upload this morning - the site was not complete and I wanted to add to it just now. BUT - I can’t get any palettes up, so can’t edit / add content. HELP!

I know it sounds obvious, but have you tried showing all the palettes
via the appropriate menus?

best wishes

When you say “I can’t get any palettes up”

I presume that you mean when opening the Freeway file ‘yoursite.freeway’

Under the Freeway Menu>Windows you can select (tick) the various palettes that you wish to see. When you close your document/Freeway and then reopen Freeway will remember which palettes you had open last time.

If that is not what you mean then please give us a bit more info.

Yes, I’ve tried showing the palettes via the Window menu - they are greyed out and don’t respond. I can get to the various pages in the site, but it is as though they are frozen - I can highlight text, but as the various palettes are grey - I can’t do anything. I’m sure there is something terribly obvious I’m overlooking, but not being familiar with Freeway, I don’t know what it is.

It was all fine until I published / uploaded, so I suspect I am supposed to do something connected with that.

Sorted - I think! Freeway wouldn’t quit, but having force quitted, all seems to be working - why it stopped is beyond me, but until and unless it happens again - it seems to be OK.

Thanks for your responses anyway!

Strange goings on here.

If you haven’t done it already close all running applications and do a shutdown nd a restart.

There may be something that needs ‘flushed out’

BTW what version of FW and what OS are you using?

It’s Freeway 4 Pro and OS X 10.4.11.

I’ll do as you suggest and shutdown / restart.

Thanks,

Andrew
