password protect a .php page

I’m preparing the beta-testing of my site and want to protect its access. To do so, from this page: http://confuciusaction.com I want the user to get access to the form he/she has to use to provide me with his feedback. This form is in .php.

Password protect URL doesn’t work. Password button and password field actions don’t work with Firefox. They do with Explorer and Safari.

Any idea of what to do? Website password is: feedback.

Tks for having a look if you know what to do.

If you have used your hosting provider’s control panel to set the
access for the folder containing your application, then that should
just work – for any type of page the server will serve up.

The Password Action is a cheap hack, with little or no real security.
If you are serious about keeping people out of your private test
area, you should really use an .htaccess file (which your hosting
provider can set up for you, or your hosting control panel will let
you configure for yourself) to secure the folder.
