PDF Link

New to freeway and trying to link a pdf file to text but when I apply the action it deletes the text. Can some tell me what I’m doing wrong?

wjamer,

After you apply the action, click on it and the settings will be in the action inspector. There you put your text.

Just to clarify - the action is placed into a run of text ie click for a flashing cursor between 2 words and insert the action. You can then add whatever text you want to appear in the link in the action inspector.

Thanks for the help! Also has anyone found that when you use this action that the alignment is not correct in the browser from what is in freeway. Is there a fix for this problem?

that the alignment is not correct in the browser from what is in freeway.

Haven’t noticed - can you post an example online that we can see.

where does the pdf file have to be when you are making a hyper-link to it?

Right now, I link the hyperlink text to the PDF file in a desktop folder, but upon upload and publishing the file is not found. Where does the file have to be?

If you are using the Link to PDF action then FW will handle the upload for you from anywhere on your Mac

If you are just creating an external link ie www.mysite.com/mypdf.pdf then you will have to upload it yourself.
