How do I:
Take a PDF file,
keep the upper half,
ridding the bottom half,
and add a jagged line which simulates a tearing of the paper page?
The net effect desired is that the viewer should think I tore a page and I am showing the upper half.

Draw a ragged line with the Pencil tool and extend the path downwards to create a box.
• Choose Fill: White, Stroke: None
• Attach a Blur effect.
Import the PDF and position the box on top.
The blurred edge looks a bit like ragged paper. The different blur effects (Box, Disk, Motion, Zoom) may be more suitable.
If you need better definition, attach the Drop Shadow effect. Alternatively, duplicate the box, fill with black and put it behind the white box.
