Strictly speaking, no; you can configure Apache to pass .html or .foo
or .bar or whatever through the PHP sausage machine.
I always thought it kinder to leave the poor olâ PHP engine alone
except when really needed.
(Although making my remote server parse .html for PHP code would mean
that I could get semi-proper local previews of pages with nuggets of
PHP code goodness mixed into the HTML all-bran rather than seeing raw
code in Safari. Even though the PHP wouldnât be rendered. HmmâŚ)

The image is loaded through the image so the page
ending shouldnât affect it, at least it didnât on some test examples I
did on my server.

Silly question: doesnât the page need to end in .php rather than
.html in order to make the serverâs PHP parser to come out to play?

Hi George,
Looking at the image youâve applied the effect to I can see that there
is quite a bit of blank white space at the bottom;
http://reeltimedvd.com/new_site/Resources/photoandvideo.jpeg
I suspect the PHP is doing itâs job but is simply reflecting some of
this white image to create this reflection;
http://reeltimedvd.com/new_site/reflect_v3.php?img=Resources/photoandvideo.jpeg&height=20
%&fade_start=80
If you change the height attribute from 20% to 100% youâll see that
the PHP is, indeed, doing itâs stuff;
http://reeltimedvd.com/new_site/reflect_v3.php?img=Resources/photoandvideo.jpeg&height=100
%&fade_start=80
If you can trim the white space from your image I think you should be
set.
Regards,
Tim.

I just gave this a go and no luck.
I believe the reflection will not show up in FW, so I uploaded the
page to my site (which has php) and there is no reflection.
I donât see any other discussion about this, but hopefully some
folks have some tips.

Thanks everyone. I tried this on a different image and used a small reflection percentage and it now is working.
