Freeway can’t be made to do it by default, if that’s what you’re asking. That is something I have been wishing for out loud since version 1. But you can, in either Pro or Express, change the file-type extension of any page in your site, simply by editing the Filename field in the Inspector. Yes, you have to do it by hand for each page. But it’s a good exercise, since you can smarten up the automatically-generated filenames in the process. Note that if you name your files whatever.php, you will no longer be able to preview them within Freeway – you will have to upload to your server and view them “live”. PHP files have to be interpreted by a server, and Freeway’s preview mode does not provide a server, only a file:/// url lookup into a filesystem.

Is there a way for Freeway to generate output as PHP extensions instead of HTML?
If so, how?
Is this restricted to Pro only vs a way in Express?
