Ping Me

Walter it appears that the ‘Ping Me’ selector is automatically checked when viewing a thread which you have previously posted to - when before it wasn’t.

So now do you have to remember to ‘opt out’ rather than ‘opt in’

I preferred it the old way.

That was not my goal. I will look at it after dinner.

If you get another ping, there is a new unsubscribe link at the bottom
of those messages. Click it, and (at least in my testing) you are un-
pinged for good.

On the subject of the forums here am I alone in wishing we had a feature to make minor edits after a post has been made?

This is not a forum in the usual sense, but rather a mailing list with a Web interface. Since you can’t edit an email after you have sent it, and since a large percentage of this list does interact with it exclusively or primarily by email, we can’t allow edits to the web view, since they wouldn’t propagate to anyone’s in-box. But this is a friendly crowd. Nobody will point and stare, I promise.
