Can I take advantage of the Pinterest rich pin facility?

I wrote the Pinterest Action years ago, when Pinterest first came out, but I haven’t used or touched it much since (no call for it from my clients). Can you explain what the “rich pin” facility is and does, and why one would want to use it?

This explains it much better than I can…

Rich Pins are Pins that include extra information right on the Pin itself. Right now, there are five types of Rich Pins: movie, recipe, article, product and place.

It looks possible, probably using the Google flavor of microformat markup, since that allows multiple items per page. Downside to this is that it’s non-standard html, so you would fail validation if you did this. I think it would end up being a whole other action --I don’t see this fitting in the current Action.
