Pop outs

I know how to set up to open up a new browser window on a clicked link, but could somebody point me in the correct direction for this kind of pop out?

Here is the page: SoHo - Apple Store - Apple

Click on the “shopping tips” int he bnner - it’s a blue cross.

Many thanks!

It looks like FancyZoom - cabel.name: FancyZoom 1.1

FancyZoom needs to modify the Body tag

 <body onLoad="setupZoom();">

Just adding this code under Page > HTML Markup would add two “body” tags in the Freeway HTML.

Anyone know how you can get this code into a Freeway Page correctly?

Just adding this code under Page > HTML Markup would add two “body” tags in the Freeway HTML.

Don’t put that code in the Html Markup section. Add it with the Extended page option instead. The only thing that needs to go in the Html Markup (After Head) are the two calls to the two js libraries Fancy Zoom requires.

To expand on that:

  1. You’d go to ‘Page’
  2. You’d select ‘Extended’
  3. You’d then click on ‘New’
  4. You’d then put in the ‘Name’ field: onLoad
  5. You’d then put in the ‘Value’ field: setupZoom();

Then you’re all set for that part.

Excellent thanks!

Next question:

How does one get a nice styled table like they do at the bottom of the page? Have tried to do this with css boxes but they simply break apart when the page is resized. Have tried using the Freeway tables but it seems fiddly to produce the effect. Any bright ideas?

J-P, You can get pretty close to the one on Apple’s site. I have made a test FW page using html boxes. It will not break when you zoom in http://freshbrand.com/STUFF/FWsample03/ there is also a FW file that you can play with

If you have to use tables here’s some info on styling tables -Styling tables with CSS

Marcel,

That is indeed pretty close. I couldn’t quite get that but now I can deconstruct your example and see why. Many thanks!

Your example contains unlayered HTML boxes i.e. tables. Should the example be done with all divs and CSS?

Apple looks to have used a styled list to do this.
