Talking about pop-ups, my Link Pop-Up which used to sit at the bottom of the document window seems to have disappeared. If anyone knows where it is, I’d be grateful for its safe return!!
Thanks,
Paul
Can you see a greyed out Globe to the left of where it used to be?
If so does the Link popup reappear if you click on a graphic item? Something has to be selected for it to show and an HTML item wont do unless you have selected text.
If it still doesn’t appear you may have to Trash the FW preferences files.
com.softpress.FreewayPro.plist - in User/Library/Preferences
• no globe
• no Link popup appear …
• no file of this name on my computer
Another strange thing which is happening (and possibly related to the Preferences) is that with text rollovers the typed in words are not appearing, although everything is OK in the uploaded files.
That was a brilliant find David, thank you very much. I hate playing with Terminal, but the missing Library folder has now appeared, and I deleted the plist file as you suggested. Unfortunately it hasn’t had the required effect. Even after restarting, I find that (a ) the link popups are still not there, and (b) the text rollovers appear blank – blue rectangles with no words inside. This second is not a text colour problem, I think, as the rectangles all appear to have the same length. I can still use the program, but it might as well all be working right! Perhaps I’ll need to reinstall the program? Cheers, Paul
Trash plist(s) - I would do all com.softpress plists. Also check in HD>Library>Preferences in case there is one hiding there.
Empty Trash
Restart FW
Failing that an email to support(at)softpress.com may yield an answer. I am not aware of any way/preference to show/hide the Link popup but that doesn’t mean there isn’t one!
Problem solved, and I am overcome with embarrassment!! I have just rediscovered the Link popups which were there all the time. I was looking in the wrong place: on the screen at the base of my constructed window, instead of in the bottom panel of the working window frame, which I could not see because it was off my computer screen!
My apologies for the time you have spent on this, but I’m very pleased to have the matter resolved. With thanks, Paul
