Hi All
When I publish a site with £ symbol, these do not appear as £ symbol.
This is HTML text so how do I get them to appear as the £ symbol?

Can you post a link to your site online somewhere.
I suspect that the problem is with your character encoding - try changing it to Automatic or Unicode UTF8

This is what I see in your HTML
text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1
Looks like you haven’t changed your character encoding.

BTW - that is a hefty page at nearly 9Mb.
For a start your bg image is pretty large at 850k. You could easily compress that to below 70k without noticing quality loss - especially when used in the background.
Similarly for all the pics used in your slideshow which vary from just under 600k to over 800k.
A slow loading page is a quickly left page!

For what it’s worth, the site took a VERY long time to load in my
Camino browser, and the top scrolling line never appeared.

Where do you change the encoding.
Thought it was in the document set up
Yes page does load slow, something I need to look at with the images.

Anything that you set in the Document Setup dialog (with only a very
few exceptions) affects any page you create after you make the
change. Think of it as the stamp from which all pages are started.
Anything you do after creation works from that starting point, but
changes made to the stamp only affect new pages.

Go to the page inspector, 3rd Tab with nothing selected and the Encoding Drop down is near the bottom. Different pages can have different encoding.
