Is there a way to copy/paste from Intaglio into PPT such that the objects can be ungrouped and edited in PPT? As much as I hate having to do this in powerpoint… I need to create presentations to share with others (including those on PCs). I have relatively simple graphics.
Even, to save the Intaglio document in a form that can be imported into powerpoint (rather than copy/paste) to preserve object information.
I’m not an MS-Office expert but I don’t think there’s any way to edit the graphics within PowerPoint. The best way to preserve object information is to use PDF as your graphics exchange format. Unfortunately MS has been slow to adopt this but I understand the latest version of Word is much better, so maybe PowerPoint is better now too.
There’s a third party open source project for Mac OS X called LinkBack that attempts to solve some of these problems. Intaglio supports it but it hasn’t received much attention from the larger players.
However, you can import graphics made in Intaglio directly into Apple
Keynote simply by dragging from window to window. The same goes for
Pages.
I did this all the way through the latter part of my undergraduate
years, and it works well- very well in fact.
My advice is to dump PPT altogether, as Keynote is FAR better.
(Compatible too with ppt).

A looong time ago, before the excellent svg2key app, I had figured out how to get Illustrator graphics into PowerPoint in order to convert them to shapes I could use in Keynote. However, it’s been awhile and I can’t remember the exact steps (If illustrator exports vectors to WMF, then that’s how I did it).
Other than that way, I don’t know of any other way to copy something into PowerPoint so that you can still edit the points and change the fill and stroke.
