I had a simple site I created in Express 4. I since downloaded the Pro 5 demo with the intention of upgrading and made numerous site changes. Because of financial considerations, I had to go with Express instead of Pro for version 5 but of course my site is now all updated with Pro 5.
Is there any way to export or convert the site so it’s usable in 5 Express now or did I screw myself?
Once a file has been opened and saved as a Pro file it is not
backwards compatible. If you have no backup of the Express file then
you will either need to start again in Express, or use Pro to continue
working with it.

I just recreated the file since I was able to copy and paste most of the items. As a result, I inadvertently fixed a few layout problems I didn’t realize I had that were causing strange appearances.

Just a note to anyone who may come upon this thread later – when you open an Express file with Pro, I believe it forces you to save it as a new file, so you can always go back to where you “forked” it into Pro.
So here’s a question then. If you open a document that was made say in 5.1.1 in 5.1.3 will it still allow you to open the file in 5.1.1 if you’ve made changes in 5.1.3 or does it over-ride the document to then only be open in 5.1.3?
(Checks the version time-line to prevent a he-said-she-said moment)
Generally speaking, there should be no problems moving between minor versions of Freeway. But it’s hard to say. Often the minor versions include updated Actions, and that’s a lot of moving parts to make an “always” claim against.
