[Pro] A form problem (and music uploads)

Hi all, I slowly seem to be ironing out the problems I’ve been having on this site.

It’s been constructed using Caleb’s BackDraft 1.5, and on another couple of sites I’ve had form problems, so on this one I’ve deleted Caleb’s Send Form action and applied Tim’s PHP feedback form to the page (as you can’t apply it to an inflow item), and still no luck with the form.

Could one of you lovely people please take a quick look and see if I’m doing anything glaringly stupid? Then shout at me.

Also, the page uses Webyep, and as the main updates are going to be rehearsal sessions, does anyone know of a way to incorporate music uploads into WY (probably about 500kb-1mb in size)?

Thanks
Trev

Problem half solved - I re-uploaded the site and the form is now working, so any pointers with WebYep and music uploads would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Be aware that it’s common for shared servers to, by default, impose a file upload size limit when using PHP as the upload mechanism. It’s a good idea to verify what your server limit is and if necessary bump it up using a php.ini file, assuming your host allows such things. Unless you are absolutely sure your uploads will never exceed the default setting (usually 2Mb), it might be wise to give yourself a bit more wiggle room.

I mention it because should you exceed the limit the upload will fail (sometimes without any alert from the CMS) and you may be tempted to look for issues with the CMS when in fact it’s a simple server setting.

Thanks for that Todd.

I had that very same problem a couple of years ago when i first started using WY on my site and uploading work samples - Max pointed me in the right direction then, but thanks for the reminder.

The form part of this question is now okay, but I’m bumping the last part about incorporating music uploads into Webyep.

So if anyone has any ideas…………

All I can say is, that it requires a rich-text area with a TextEditor which is able to handle files. Years ago, I had a combination of TinyMCE and TinyBrowser to accomplish those kinda things. I honestly am not aware, which route WY is going down the road these days.

Cheers
