Hi all,
this is coming from left field…
is there a way to make my page have a vertical scroll bar without having to make the page longer with dead space?
Many of my pages are kind of short (say 700pxls in height), and will not have a vertical scroll bar which is fine except every time someone goes from that page to a taller one a “shift” happens to make room for the scroll bar.
So what I did was make the “shorter” pages seem longer (taller) with dead space below the text/graphic on page but when people scroll down there is not much there and does not look so well.
This page shows you what I mean.

Up late Barry? - Or very early!
Try this in Page>Html Markup in the before section
<style type = "text/css">
html {
overflow-y: scroll;
}
</style>

back to a bad habit…
step 1
- read 4 year old a story at 8:30pm
- tuck her in
- fall asleep next to her
- wake up at 2am
- screwed for next 5 days!
will try… stay tuned.
thanks

pretty cool. I made a page super short (like 400pxl height) and added what you said.
it doesn’t really add a moving scroll bar but like a static scroll bar there which prevents shifting.
real cool- going to check on multiple monitors at school.
appreciate the idea.
