[Pro] ACTION has JavaScript Error message...

Hi everyone,

I downloaded the latest Carousel Action from ActionsForge to create a Navigation system that would look like a mega-dropdown…
My FW version is 5.4.3
I did the usual procedure: Create graphic, import item, attribute action
And once I’m down, I go to publish and then a warning window pops up saying:
“The following Actions will be ignored as they have a known JavaScript error.”
Action: “Carousel”, Page:
Action: “Carousel Pan”, Page:

And of course it doesn’t publish the site at all…
I destroyed the first document I created, then re-loaded the action into freeway then re-created my carousel and it gave me the same error… over and over again…

Walter, any idea of what is going on here?
(How do I remove that Carousel Action package from FW to replace it with an older version, if needed?)

Regards
D.

Visit this folder on your Mac:

/Users/[your short name]/Library/Application Support/Freeway 5/

Actions/General

(If you’re using Lion, you won’t be able to see that folder directly
– it’s been hidden for your protection! Use the shortcut Shift-
Command-G to enter the path directly as above.)

Locate any file in that folder that includes the word Protaculous in
its name. Delete them all. Now download the latest Protaculous from
ActionsForge. Decompress it, and drag the resulting
Protaculous.fwactionb file into the General folder above.

Now back in your document, you will probably need to remove all
instances of Protaculous/Carousel/Observer/SmoothScroll from your
page, publish once, and then build up those effects again. If you’re
in your sample document, probably easiest to just throw out that
document and make another one. If you don’t remove all instances of
these Actions from your document and publish once, you will end up
with a mixture of the cached version of the Action stored within the
Freeway document itself and the resources from the new Action. This
mis-match will break everything.

Hi Walter,
Thank you for your time and attention.

Unfortunately, I have Lion…
In the Go menu, one must use the “option” key to view the “library” folder…

I did all you instructed and yet it kept sending me an error message…
The error message box is not copyable… and I can’t scroll some of the text either…
However, I could guess-read that a little line on the top said “your AppleScript needs to be enabled”…
I found out then that the AppleScript was indeed unable in the Preferences…
Once I enabled the AppleScript, the problem was fixed… and now giving more room for the other problems… lol

Thank you very much, Walter, for the help and support. I much appreciate it.
Regards
David
