[Pro] ACTION HAS JavaScript ERROR

Received the following message when publishing site with Facebook Like/Recommend button:

‘ACTION HAS JavaScript ERROR. The following Actions will be ignored as they have a known JavaScript Error’

Publishing was aborted. Are there any workarounds?

Have you cleared the JS error in the action mentioned and tried again?

Hi David

Yes I’ve done that but the error keeps popping up.

Then remove the action and do a fresh publish.

Then after a successful publish try reapplying it.

Might be worth quitting FW and restarting too.

There may also be another Action on the page that’s causing this to happen. Could you fire an email containing your file to support(a)softpress.com, please? If the file’s too large to email then send it using http://wetransfer.com.

Regards,
Joe

Good morning all

Ive just removed the Facebook LIKE/RECOMMEND button (just before I read the latest posts) and will reapply this again.

I’ll republish then see what happens. Will keep you all informed with the outcome.

Thanks SoftPress for your response.

Do you have the externalize css actions in your website? If yes, make sure the Facebook action is not on the css page. I had this combination and got the same error message.

I have CSS on several pages but this is turned off when I’m placing the Facebook items.

It seems to me that when the site is published with an item (mistakenly) overlapping the Facebook item/s the error occurs.

So I have been careful not to publish with anything overlapping the Facebook icons. So far so good.

So I have been careful not to publish with anything overlapping the Facebook icons.

Or make the Facebook item container a layer.

Getting this javascript error if I have a Facebook like button on the page. I’m using it inline.

Myiframe=item.fwAdd(“iframe”,true);

Anyone know what may be the issue?
