[Pro] Adding a widget

I searched but couldn’t find a thread with the simple act of “Here’s how you add a widget”.

Help?

You sure you shouldn’t be asking this on the iWeb forum? Unless it was a Blogger widget, but those you can’t even add easily in Freeway.

Thanks for the replies.

Here’s a link:

The item on the right side.

Can I put it in a freewaypro site?

If you have the code from the widget provider, then you should be able
to insert this into your page. It would probably be something where
you need to add a set of JavaScripts to the page (use the External
JavaScript Action for that part) and then draw a Markup Item on the
page where you want the object to appear, give it a specific name, and
insert the code the “call” the widget into play.

The widget provider will doubtless have instructions (written in a
tone that assumes you are using a text editor and are of expert
JavaScript-fu level). If you post a link to these instructions over on
the Dynamo list, either I or someone else will no doubt be able to
help you translate them into Freeway-ese (or maybe that should be
“Freeway Ease”).

Sure, just click on the ‘Get Widget’ button at the bottom of the
widget, copy the code, and past it into a Markup Item (Insert>Markup
Item)
