Recently updated a website and uploaded the changes to my host. Works just fine on-line. went back to make some more changes and when I open the website in Freeway it reverts back to the original site even though the html pages, when clicked on before opening in freeway, are the new layouts.
The modified dates on the html pages are 21 / 22 May, which is when I made the changes, but the date on the freeway icon for launching the programe is the 13 May.(last modified ) Don’t understand this, but is there an easy way to relaunch the latest changes without reverting back to the old site. As it stands I’m looking to have to rebuild the whole site again… not much pleased.

Is it possible that you didn’t Save the FW file after you uploaded your changes?
Can’t see any other way that this could have happened.
The other possibility is that you were working on another copy of the FW file. Have you done a search to see?

You may be right regarding another copy of the original FW file. I duplicated the original folder and made all the changes to this folder. The thing is, as I made the changes in this duplicate folder these changes also appeared in the original file as well. Once I’d finished with the changes and uploaded them to my server I got rid of one of the folders.
The original folder which showed all the new HTML pages which I had created had the old last modified date from when I first duplicated it. This is really odd.
Is it not possible to download all the files from my server and open them in Freeway? I may have to post this as another question. Thanks for responding. I feel very alone…

No - FW is a html generator and not an html editor.
The files on your server are html and there is no reverse engineering process to get them to create a proprietary FW file. Not without copying the text from the html and pasting into FW.
FW has limited html import features but these are patchy at best.
Faster to recreate than to try and import - so much so that there is a knowledgebase article on the subject at SP Towers http://www.softpress.com/kb/questions/40/Fast+Way+to+Recreate+a+Website

Cheers D, that may be of some help. At lest I have all the elements of the website backed up. I can’t believe that I didn’t back up the duplicated folder before deleting. The thing is, as I was making changes to the duplicated folder these same changes were appearing in the original folder, but what wasn’t changing was the ‘last modified date’ icon. The folders appeared to be identical apart from that one issue.
It would appear I deleted the wrong folder. Thank Christ the weathers shit! Will give me something to do over the next couple of days. Thanks for your help and suggestions.

When you duplicate a FW document like that it will use the same site folder to publish into unless you specifically change it to another.
As a result you can publish 2 documents into the same folder.
