In Freeway Pro you can control the “space before” and “Space after” a paragraph either when creating a style from the style pallette or from the style menu.

Hi Rajaram,

To add and control the space after (or before) a paragraph you need to go to the Edit Styles dialogue box, which is found in the Styles/Colors pane of the Inspector panels. If you see colors on this pane click on the Ay to get the Styles pane. click on the wheel on the right and click on Edit Styles to open the dialogue box.

In this dialogue you can change all the attributes just like in InDesign and Quark.

You need to select the Style you want to change in the list on the left hand side, or to create a new style click on the big square with the + at the bottom of this panel.

The dialogue box you need is found under the Paragraph: heading on the right, click on the small + and there you can select “Space Before” and “Space After”. These control the space before and after a paragraph and defaults to 100%. Change this to what you require not forgetting to use px for pixels, so if you want a 6 pixel space after a paragraph put 6px in the dialogue box. You can change any of the styles to get the type looking how you want.

Close the dialogue box and you are ready to apply the changed style to your text.

Hope that helps,

Steve.

To add and control the space after (or before) a paragraph you need to go to the Edit Styles dialogue box

Or more easily than that - select your paragraph.

Style Menu>Space After and enter your spacing in the dialogue box that opens.

Hi David
Thanks a lot. I was not aware of this simple ‘after space’ / ‘before space’
functionality… now I am sure my pages will look even more elegant.
