[Pro] Amending Freeway code for a search facility

Hi all,

As much as I like the new simple site search feature, because it doesn’t seem possible to exclude certain elements such as footer and header master page elements from search results, I am using a third party facility. Not sure I should mention the name?

However, this requires that certain elements are named correctly, and must not be part of a form, but Freeway doesn’t quite do what is needed to get the search working.

Is there a way I can force Freeway to name a Text Field as , and to also stop Freeway from putting that Text Field element, along with a Search box within tags?

At the moment I am amending the code in TextWrangler, but some sites I will be applying this feature to have dozes of pages, so this could become tedious.

Thanks in advance.

You can just add your code to the page in a Markup Item, then position that where you want it. As long as you don’t draw any form elements on the page using Freeway’s form tools, you won’t get the surrounding form tag.
