[Pro] Anchors in iPhone

Setting up anchors with action “SmoothScroll” for a vertical single page website. Anchors work well in web browser on computer but on an iPhone/iPad, one can only click one link at a time and then the other links do not work. One must move the content slightly and then that seems to “reactivate” the links. But again only for one click at a time. Odd…

Here is link for reference. Needless to say, make sure you review on an iPhone/iPad… Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There’s definitely something up here, but I can’t figure it out. If I enable the JavaScript console in MobileSafari, it doesn’t report any errors, but it also doesn’t work at all. Do you have any other actions on the page?

Try making a fully inline layout, so you have one enormous HTML box containing all of your page and anchors. See if that works.

The anchors were set using graphic elements and not embedded in the html. “Smooth Scroll” is the only action. I will try the single html box.

Could it be an issue with iOS itself?

Tried the inline with no success. Also tried setting a link as an external vs internal link… no luck…

Try not using the static anchor bar. Just for a test, duplicate your anchor bar once for every segment of your page, and let it scroll with the page. Each segment still shows the header bar with all the links, but it’s a different header. My Mac is back at the hotel, so I can’t check this until much later tonight. Long day learning more Ruby geekery!
