This could end up sounding silly, but I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to get text to remain in a certain area, to a certain size in all browsers.
What I mean by this is when I create a text box to go into a certain area and fill it up in Freeway, it will probably display the same in Safari on the Mac. However the text in IE or Firefox on a Windows machine is overflowing. Is there a way to stop that or is that the nature of the different web browsers?
This is quite normal behaviour in all browsers. You probably did not notice in Safari. The PC where you checked your site may have had another font or size set as preference. You can make your HTML text boxes grow automatically, please see the manual for that to understand fully what that means. This because content below that box now may get covered. Or consider to study this interesting workflow of the Box-model. http://danjasker.blogspot.com/2008/07/fw5-understanding-box-model.html
Another methode is to have all your text output as GIF. That is rock-steady. But not recommended because the search engines have no text to look for.
