[Pro] Anyone have a simple way of achieving this?

I’ve a tentative enquiry from a charity about how to produce a fund raising web page linked to from their existing site. The idea is that, from a photo, the user clicks on a particular part of the image, directed to part with their cash then their name eventually appears on the image, possibly as alt. text or as some kind of pointer activated pop-up. I’ve sort of an idea how I’d attempt it but would appreciate it if anyone has any advice to offer. Thanks in advance. Neil

Would you want the name to be there for everyone, or just that person while they’re on the page? It would be a bit of work to add their name to the photo file itself with PHP and GD, but very simple to use JavaScript to update a hidden DIV and bring it to front for that moment. Of course if they left and came back the game would be over…

Walter, This is very much up for discussion but the idea is that the image with all of the names listed is up for years to come and is available for anyone to see. (The donation ‘buys’ a small part of a real world building renovation.) There are a limited number of sections and when they’re all ‘bought’ the site stays up for all to see…
It may be that an administrator puts all the names etc. in if that is an easier way to do it.
