I am getting confused here.
On opening of a site I would like a new window to pop up with some extra advertising.
I taught, thats easy, I use the popup window action on the index page, but that does not work at all…nothing happens ?
Also, I would like to have a “close” button on the window thats popping up, in order for the visitor to go back to the index page.
I looked up in the knowledge base but did not find an answer there.
My Spawn New Window Suite may help in this situation.
Note the caveat that there will be pop-up blockers active, and that this Action does not attempt to work around them (and, before you ask, I won’t be fixing it so that it can).
I feel pretty hostile about pinging open windows these days without a user triggering it. It’s very annoying.
That may all very well be, but visitors to the site in question are for the most part clients.
So they wont mind an advert for open door days !
Spawn new window is not a page action, so I does not help me. I need a window to pop up automatically when someone surfs to the site.
