[Pro] Background problems

Hello,
I am trying to make my page area different than my browser area. I used the steps as described in the freeway knowledge base by using an html item and filling it with a small tiling jpg. As long as I have no other graphics on top of it it works fine but if I try to layer them on top of each other my html item disappears behind the background. Can somebody help me please?

Is the round CSS button in the toolbar switched on (blue)?

No, it isn’t. If I use just a color and no jpg it works, but I would like to have some texture in it.

So you are using Table Layout?

If so then you want to change to CSS Layout and ensure that all the items on your page are Layered (green border) - unless you do that you cannot send an Item>Send to Back so that it is behind the other items on your page.

A link to your page online would help us better to see where you are going wrong but start with Layers and CSS Layout.

Thanks Delta Dave. I tried it with CSS button on, redid everything (the frames didn’t switch to green automatically) and it is working now!

They wont - once you have switched from Table Layout to CSS Layout then everything that you create from that point on becomes a Layer but anything that pre-exists remains unchanged unless you alter each items state in the Inspector manually.
