[Pro] Background sound - without Flash?

A client absolutely insists - despite protestations - on having a music track playing on his site’s home page. I know…

I’m aware that in order for it to start playing almost immediately, that it will have to be streamed in some manner. Is this possible on a bog standard Linux web server without resorting to Flash?

I don’t presently have an up to date copy of Flash, don’t particularly want it or want to waste time learning it (again).

This actually worked surprisingly well. I was expecting the sound file to wait for a complete download before playing, and was looking for some sort of streaming method. Simplicity wins out again!

Thanks and much appreciated Dave.
