[Pro] BANNERZEST PRO IN FW

hi,
hope someone can help me.

i’ve created a swf file with bannerzest, a few images with a simple animation.
i’d like to insert this file into a fw page.

so, i create an html box and insert the file.

when i try to open the page, the box is grey without any image.

i even copy the code, given by bannerzest and paste it with markup option.

the result is:
1 - in the top of the page, the voice “your browser doesn’t support javascript, or you’ve disabled javascript”
2 - in my favourite position, the html box keep on being grey.

why?

i’ve read that bannerzest is able to dialogue with FW, as other softwares, but i’m not able to make 'em interactive.

is there someone who managed to work with it?

bests

I am not able to try this in FW right now but it should be as simple as dragging the BannerZest swf (from the Finder) onto your FW page. What version of FW are you using?

fw pro 5.

sorry, but is not so simple.
when i create a swf with flash i just drag it into a html box…
…not like with bannerzest.
here are the problems

when you make the same thing you use to make with a simple swf file, in bannerzest you have problems as i wrote before.

OK

The code that BZ has given you is something like this

<iframe name="bzAnimation" src="http://urlofyourwebsite.com/bzAnimationExport.html" width="900" height="400" allowTransparency="true" frameborder="0"></iframe>

So insert an iFrame into your page Insert>Action Item>iFrame size it according to the html above ie. width=“900” height=“400”

Upload a folder containing all the files that BZ produced for you to your site (using FTP or the upload stuff action) and then in the iFrame action enter the URL of the bzAnimationExport.html that BZ created so that will read something like

www.yoursite.com/bzfolder/bzAnimationExport.html

Publish your FW site and test.

Hi Nicola

What I would do is create a new folder in your FW site pane called something like bannerzest - within that folder create a new page, blank if you like, and add the Upload Stuff action to this page.

In the Upload to HTML location, choose all the bannerzest files that were output by BZ. What this will do is create a folder on your server called bannerzest and upload all the files into it.

Now you can go to your page that has the iFrame on it and in the iFrame action put the URL of the exported file that you need to target which will be something like:

http://www.yoursite.com/bannerzest/bzAnimationExport.html

Remember to use the size information from the output code that BZ gave you and name the iFrame.

That should do the trick.

nesci22,

Here’s a site that I use bannerzest.
http://www.isc-inc.com/Sea/sea.html

You don’t use iframe, here is what you do.

Make your flash banner, publish it to your server using bannerzest, when it’s done it will offer an option to copy the code, copy it.

Then, if Freeway, go to “insert” > “markup item”.

Paste your code in the box and draw your box the same size as what you made your BZ banner in.

Hi Nesci,

This may be of some help:

http://www.aquafadas.eu/wiki/BannerZest:Freeway

The basic steps are, upload the banner to your server, copy the code
provided by Aqufadas into a markup item in Freeway, upload your site.

I hope this helps,

Joe

There is a bug in the BZ Prod code. You need to click on the HTML Markup box which will then display the code.

The first line of code incorrectly place the info where the BZ file is stored.

I believe this has been fixed in version 1.4, so Aquafadas claims. I haven’t tried it yet.

Good luck.

Has anyone an idea how to set an anchor in bannerzest.
Somehow Iam not able to do it.

Keep in mind: not in Freeway - in Bannerzest …

I’ve read this thread almost to distraction, and granted I can be very thick at times … in fact, according to my wife, a lot of the time!

I’ve dragged an swf file from Bannerfest to an html box on a blank page in FW. In preview, displays fine.

But how do I now upload the swf file to the server so a page references that file, please. And where on the server does it sit?

Perhaps you missed this portion of Dave’s response?

“Upload a folder containing all the files that BZ produced for you to your site (using FTP or the upload stuff action)…”

Yep! Definitely a thick day!

I’ve done as suggested, uploaded output from Bannerzest to server.

Banner has swf file from local publish, and displays as expected in preview.

But how do I get web page to reference the swf file once it is uploaded?

Sorry, this is getting tedious now, I don’t mean to be short with anyone. I’m only too grateful for any advice.

When you have finished the upload in Bannerzest, copy the code and copy it into Markup-Elements. Place the appearing box (hard to see on the page!!) onto the desired place. Fixpoint will be the top left corner of the box. Thats all …
