[Pro] Best option for fading slideshow?

I’m on FWPro 6 and have to quickly recreate and greatly expand an existing website. (What I’ll be redoing is displayed with the link. You’ll notice it essentially has no real content, crucial for this business.)

Anyway, I’ll be creating this with CSS boxes, which is all I can contemplate now because I don’t have time to learn box model, etc.

Also, what’s the best way to present a photo or video so that when a user clicks on it, a window expands and plays the video or displays the photo?

I’m sure these are basics, but I haven’t done a site in a while. All suggestions and step-by-step help appreciated! (I’ll check back periodically; I never get alerts when someone has responded, even though I hit the “ping me” box so that I can.)

Many thanks in advance.

There are several of action options within FW for your fading slideshow.

1 Target Show/Hide in conjunction with Sequence Timer

2 ScriptyFader

3 Showcase

There are many more if you want to use external scripts such as WowSlider or Hype

For displaying popups then one of the ScriptyLightbox actions will do the trick but there are many more if you want to step outside FW a bit.

I’ll have to look at each of these to see which will work most easily and accomplish what I need. Thank you, Dave. I may be back with questions if I get lost in the details.

David, Scriptyfader on actionsforge shows that it’s compatible through FWPro 5. It doesn’t say anything about 6. Will is still work?

Also, if I don’t set HTML 5 for my pages, will that Exhibio program still work? I’ve just begun to look at it. It might be an attractive way to do this as well, no?
